This is a great children's activity- let children use spoons to scoop and form small balls. Executive Summary &lt;br /&gt;The rise of childhood obesity has caused an increase in health problems that vary from psychosocial risks, such as low self-esteem, to type 2 Diabetes. Type 2 Diabetes in childhood can lead to cardiovascular disease and kidney failure when a child grows into an adult and ultimately end in a shorter life. With childhood obesity on the rise it becomes necessary for action to be taken. Longevity Nutrition works to eradicate childhood obesity, diabetes and other illnesses linked to poor nutrition. In fall, 2008 Longevity Nutrition started providing demonstration classes and healthy snacks to more than 300 Sacramento area school children. Longevity Nutrition, in collaboration with Organic Sacramento &amp; California School Garden Network, Healthy Eating Active Living collaborative, Health Education Counsel hope to install healthy meal programs in Sacramento and, eventually, across the nation. These meals will increase the quality of children’s health exponentially and ultimately lead to a longer, happier life for each child.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;II. Statement of need&lt;br /&gt;Results from the 2007-2008 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), using measured heights and weights, indicate that an estimated 17 percent of children and adolescents ages 2-19 years are obese. Among pre-school age children 2-5 years of age, obesity increased from 5 to 10.4% between 1976-1980 and 2007-2008 and from 6.5 to 19.6% among 6-11 year olds.  Among adolescents aged 12-19, obesity increased from 5 to 18.1% during the same period. &lt;br /&gt; Figure 1 depicts the rise of overweight children among the ages of 6-19 in the United States from 1963-2002 (Source: Center for Disease Control).&lt;br /&gt; If this trend is allowed to continue the consequences will be devastating. Already, in a population-based sample of 5 to 17 year-olds, 70% of obese children had at least one cardiovascular disease risk factor while 39% of obese children had two or more CVD risk factors. Along with dangerous physical risks, obese children are social targets for bullying and discrimination. This negative experience can lead to low self-esteem, which hinders academic achievement, deters positive socialization and may persist into adulthood.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;III. Project Description&lt;br /&gt;Longevity Nutrition, in collaboration with Organic Sacramento, will create healthy meal programs in Sacramento and, eventually, across the nation. Longevity Nutrition will also provide healthy food demonstrations that show children how to prepare healthy snacks. Providing children with healthier food and teaching them how to make the snacks for themselves will work to lessen obesity and improve the physical and psychological well-being of children. &lt;br /&gt;a. How will this be done exactly?&lt;br /&gt;b. How will the project be evaluated?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;IV. Budget&lt;br /&gt;A. I pray for a speedy resolution to the conflicts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Third, Synergy Chef Richard Hemsley is available for a few more dates this summer for education purposes in groups of 10 or more. Overwhelming... Joy!!!</title><content type='html'>Thank You everyone who participated in our 2nd Saturday Festivities in December!!! We Love the excited energy around the service to our Community! I am grateful to be of service as this project develops and flowers into it's visualized potential. &lt;br /&gt;We are here to be the Difference!&lt;br /&gt;We are here to serve our family!&lt;br /&gt;We are here living life in the heart of our creator.&lt;br /&gt;We are not perfect!&lt;br /&gt;We are dedicated of taking care of those in our stewardship!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This last week's experiences totaled up to a calm and collected Joyful experience. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Life Happens!&lt;br /&gt;Things Happen!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When thing unexpected happen find the Best way to look at it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am grateful to know there is always another spirit in this life I am capable of providing service to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No matter how "Big" a deal an experience is, there will always be another in a situation whose life I could positively affect with my interaction and love.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All that is here on this Earth belongs to the creator. That which we perceive to own truly own us if we try to claim it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This last week as responsibility for this for completing tasks became too much for the 2 chef's alone and not enough help was scheduled. All the food we had planned to give to You our family sat in our coolers prepared yet not finished. So we shared what we had ready, and sampled what we had available. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We experienced mechanical failures as well as time management. I double booked my time! I did NOT factor in that my daughters would be present for the time to finish all the food. Brooke was booked by her now previous employer, We all need some sleep even if only  2-4. Making the BEST Food on the planet takes a LOT of Time and dedication!!! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Love that goes into making the almond cheese alone is recorded for over 10 hours of CHEF time. Wait til YOU taste this...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, The Long and Short...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have a long exciting road ahead of as we plan for the development and production of multiple communities centers in multiple cities. We have a national and global mission to spread the Love of Light and Truth! We love to hear your Truths. This the building of our community and I am blessed and grateful for this charge to share my love for life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;These past 6 months I have run this facility as a place for friends and family to gather. I am grateful for the organized management skills which Brooke has and brings to the team. The cost of the Dessert tasting is $10.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Day 2 onward we will host 2 seating's at 5:30 and 7:30 pm each Thursday and Monday is a menu tasting. Cost is $20 per person. Special guest chef appearances and 1 night will be Chocolate extravaganza and 1 night is a Truffle tasting.
